Storengy Deutschland marketing a working gas volume of 2 TWh in the storage facility Uelsen

Berlin, 7^th May 2021. On 2^nd June 2021, Storengy Deutschland GmbH will be marketing a working gas volume of around 2 TWh in the storage facility Uelsen (market area: Gaspool) with a contract period of three years. So far this is the largest working gas volume the storage operator has marketed this year. 2 TWh represent approximately 20 per cent of the storage capacity in Uelsen.

The Uelsen 3Y Product is being offered for a contract period from 1^st April 2022 to 1^st April 2025. It consists of eight bundles; each bundle has a firm working gas volume of approx. 250 GWh as well as a firm injection rate of 87 MWh/h and a firm withdrawal rate of 110 MWh/h. No operational fee is charged for the first filling for each respective storage year. Thereafter, a fee of 0.50 EUR/MWh is charged for injection. For this product, customers must book transport capacities by themselves. A fixed storage price in EUR/MWh per storage year will be requested. Customers may offer different prices for every storage year. Injection and withdrawal curves have to be considered.

For this Uelsen product, the Green Storage Option can be booked for an additional fee of 0.10 EUR/MWh. This means that all the energy needed to operate this product comes from renewable sources: renewable electricity is used for the injection and biogas is used for the withdrawal of gas. This enables CO2 savings and ensures a green value chain.

" We optimise our service and product portfolio with the greatest possible flexibility – different prices can be offered for each storage year – and a well elaborated allocation mechanism to fulfil the expectations of different market participants."
