Storengy Deutschland signs contract with Vermilion Energy Germany for providing digital services for plant operations

Hanover, 13 October 2021. Storengy Deutschland is entering into a contract with Vermilion Energy Germany to provide digital services for controlling and monitoring Vermilion’s operational plants in Lower Saxony as permanently manned facilities (PMFs).

Storengy Deutschland will ensure 24/7 remote operation from its central control room in Hanover. The service portfolio includes controlling automated processing plants and wells, monitoring alarm, warning and fault messages, troubleshooting and initiating alarm chains.

The company draws on digital technologies and state-of-the-art processes to optimise operations and maintenance activities, and make them as efficient as possible. “With our central control room, we’re providing modern operational management as well as improved performance for our customer, and are thus making an important contribution to the energy supply,” says Torsten Bührig, Division Manager Technical Dispatching at Storengy Deutschland.

Andreas Gobi, Production Superintendent at Vermilion Energy Germany, is very confident about this collaboration: “For monitoring our facilities, we’re calling on the expertise and professionalism of an established player in the energy sector. The decisive factor for this collaboration was Storengy’s industry experience and its state-of-the-art central control room, which meets our high quality and safety standards in every respect.” Remote monitoring is introduced in addition to operational and plant control by Vermilion personnel, further enhancing plant safety.
