Capacity marketing successfully completed for two storage products

Berlin, 6th October 2020: Storengy Deutschland GmbH has successfully marketed two storage products: the Harsefeld Product with a working gas volume of around 600 GWh and the Virtual Winter to Summer Product with a total working gas volume of 150 GWh.

For the Harsefeld Product a total of six bundles were offered with a contract duration from 1st April 2021 to 1st April 2022 and/or 1st April 2023. Each bundle has a firm working gas volume of around 100 GWh, a firm injection capacity of 70 MWh/h each and a firm withdrawal capacity of 140 MWh/h each. A total of 12 bidders took part in the marketing with a single bidder being awarded the contract. The demand was fifteen times higher than the capacity on offer.

The Virtual Winter to Summer Product consists of a single bundle with a firm working gas volume of around 150 GWh. The contract duration on offer is from 1st October 2020 to 1st July 2021. The storage product has a firm injection capacity of 208 MWh/h and an interruptible withdrawal capacity of 35 MWh/h, with a respective firm withdrawal capacity of 104 MWh/h. Four bidders participated in this marketing, with one new customer being awarded the contract.

The Harsefeld Product offers our customers the greatest possible flexibility, especially in view of the upcoming merger of market areas.
