#TeamStorengy: Svenja Weiss
Today we are talking to Svenja Weiss. She heads the Management Support team at our Hanover site.

At Storengy Deutschland, we are very proud of our employees, because they are an important part of our success. In our #TeamStorengy series, we introduce colleagues from different areas who enrich our company with their commitment.
Today we are talking to Svenja Weiss. She heads the Management Support team at our Hanover site. She completed her training as a foreign language correspondent, then studied Business Administration in the UK, and has been working at #TeamStorengy since 2018. Privately, she’s involved in the Ladies’ Circle – an international service organisation for young women – and supports local and national projects in the social sector with her work.
What are your responsibilities as Head of Management Support?
I take care of the concerns of the two managing directors and six division managers at Storengy Deutschland Betrieb GmbH. In addition to preparing presentations and minutes, this also includes, for example, ensuring that events and business trips run smoothly and in accordance with hygiene standards. I also support other areas, such as maintenance, with fault analyses. One of my most exciting tasks is to promote sustainability at our site in Hanover. I’m delighted that we’re helping to protect the environment thanks to CO2-neutral office materials, regional food in our kitchen and thanks to the water dispensers.
What do you enjoy most about working at Storengy?
I particularly like the fact that my job is varied and I always get to take on new projects, so it never gets boring.
What do you think makes Storengy an attractive employer?
I appreciate that Storengy, as an employer, takes very good care of the employees in many aspects. There’s a mobile working arrangement that enables us to work flexibly from home. This really helps to ensure a healthy work-life balance. Tools such as Microsoft Teams, DocuSign and the electronic invoice workflow provide an additional plus that make the work more digital and efficient. The mental health of employees is also very important to Storengy – potential mental stress is analysed by our occupational health and safety department (QHSE) so that employees can be relieved of pressure at an early stage.
I think it’s good that the management is available for questions and answers in regular Q&A sessions – this creates transparency for all employees. All in all, communication is always open and honest, both with the management level and among us colleagues. This creates a pleasant corporate culture and working atmosphere.
