Geothermal energy: Storengy Germany project targeo receives Solar Impulse Foundation Label

Berlin, 29th September 2020: Storengy Deutschland GmbH's targeo project has been awarded the Solar Impulse Foundation Label. The label is awarded to projects that offer solutions to protect the environment and simultaneously enable profitable economic growth. With targeo, Storengy Deutschland provides an innovative, digital and efficient solution that combines new business in heat recovery and CO2 savings.

Volker Clauß, Business Development Manager and project lead at Storengy Deutschland, is delighted about the award: "At Storengy Deutschland we are working hard to make geothermal energy ready for the digital age. We are opening up new sales channels and further increasing the competitiveness of this future technology – now also officially approved with the Solar Impulse Foundation label."

About targeo

Storengy Deutschland started targeo in close cooperation with enersis europe GmbH to support public utilities and regions in implementing the heat transition. The targeo team develops building-specific, regional analyses to identify the economic geothermal energy potential and thus shows concrete sales approaches for a renewable heat and cold supply in existing and newly built districts. In addition, the team supports the implementation of CO2 targets with the respective local geothermal natural resources and reliably plans and realizes the extraction of geothermal energy - also with own investments.

About the label

The Solar Impulse Foundation Label is one of the first labels for companies bringing together the protection of nature and profitability through a rigorous evaluation process carried out by a pool of independent experts. In collaboration with renowned institutions, projects are evaluated using a neutral and certified methodology. The aim is to identify 1000 projects that find solutions to current environmental challenges while being cost-effective and profitable. Further information about the label can be found here.
