Quality and safety: Storengy Deutschland Betrieb GmbH receives DVGW certification
Hanover, 28 October 2020. Storengy Deutschland Betrieb GmbH has been certified by the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW), confirming the high quality and safety standards of the company’s management system.
The increasingly complex processes in the energy industry are presenting all employees with new and increasing challenges. To ensure the safety of the operations, it’s important that natural gas pipelines and process plants are in perfect condition, company procedures are well regulated and employees are appropriately qualified. The management system deployed by Storengy Deutschland Betrieb GmbH ensures that it acts reliably, safely and legally compliantly in changing situations.
“With a wide range of services for natural gas storage operations, ranging from technical dispatching to technical management and maintenance, we place considerable emphasis on expertise and professionalism. The DVGW certification shows that we’re embracing a continuous improvement process to enable us to also meet high quality and safety standards for the gas supply in future,” emphasises Dr Horst Hirschhausen, Managing Director of Storengy Deutschland Betrieb GmbH.
Dr Torsten Birkholz, Managing Director of DVGW’s Regional Group North, presented the certificate after the technical safety management was successfully reviewed. Numerous aspects were verified relating to the company’s organisation, the qualifications of the technical staff, technical equipment as well as the operation and maintenance. By awarding the certificate, the DVGW confirms that the requirements of the DVGW’s Code of Practice G 1000 are met for the Epe and Peckensen plants.
The certificate issued is valid until mid-2026. Storengy Deutschland Betrieb GmbH will once again undergo the certification process in order to have its quality and safety systems re-audited in due time before this period expires.
