New on the market: Virtual ROSY Product

Storengy Deutschland GmbH successfully completed the capacity marketing of the Virtual ROSY Product. This product was offered for a contract duration from 1^st May 2020 to 1^st May 2021 at the Virtual Trading Point Gaspool-H and thus covers the remaining storage year (Rest Of the Storage Year). For the first time, customers were able to choose between two withdrawal curves to tailor the product to their personal storage portfolio. The product is physically located at the natural gas storage facilities in Harsefeld, Uelsen and Peckensen.

The Virtual ROSY Product is characterized by a firm working gas volume of 150 GWh and a partly firm injection and withdrawal rate. The injection rate is 50 MWh/h firm and 25 MWh/h interruptible. The customer can choose between two different withdrawal curves and thus receives the greatest possible flexibility for optimal portfolio management:
 

• Option 1: 109 MWh/h firm
  The first option offers a strong performance right at the beginning of the withdrawal period, which then decreases.
   
• Option 2: 79 MWh/h firm
  The second option offers constant performance over almost the entire withdrawal period.

The call for offers ended on 23^rd April 2020. Storengy is very satisfied with the market participation and the price achieved:

"Despite the relatively short time to market of seven days and the challenging situation linked to the coronavirus pandemic, we had numerous bids for the Virtual ROSY Product. Storengy is therefore almost fully booked for the current storage year and will start preparing the marketing of capacities for the next storage years", says Jean Dubard, Head of Product Development & Commercial Support.
