Harsefeld celebrates a major milestone

For Storengy, safety in the workplace plays an indispensable role and this is bearing fruit: we congratulate our colleagues at the Harsefeld natural gas storage facility for their 10,000 days of accident-free work – that’s more than 27 years!

For Ralf Possenriede, operations manager at the Harsefeld site, the issue of occupational safety has top priority: “As operations manager, it’s important that I act as a role model and set an example through my safe working behaviour. We have to be mindful every day and allow enough time for the work.”

For many years, Storengy has been working systematically with maximum motivation and energy to prevent accidents at work. For example, various training courses on occupational safety are a regular part of the schedule for Storengy employees. “All of this has one goal,” says Ralf Possenriede: “We want our employees to arrive here healthy in the morning and also leave the company healthy after work.”

Located west of Hamburg, the Harsefeld natural gas storage facility is one of Storengy Deutschland’s most efficient storage facilities. The facility began operating in 1992 and has two storage caverns with a working gas volume of approximately 108 million standard cubic metres.
