H2-Project SaltHy goes online with its own website

The project website for our hydrogen storage project SaltHy has been online since 1 August 2024! As part of the project, Storengy Deutschland is expanding its existing natural gas storage facility at the Harsefeld site and the associated above-ground facilities for the underground storage of 100% hydrogen.

On the website you will find background information on hydrogen storage in salt caverns, detailed information on the project and the latest news and dates.

SaltHy is a pioneer project in northern Germany that applies the proven technology of salt cavern storage to hydrogen. As part of the project, one of the first hydrogen storage facilities in Germany is being realised. With SaltHy, Storengy Deutschland supports the market ramp-up for hydrogen in Europe and contributes to the successful achievement of climate targets.
